Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Jango & Boba
The Fett brothers, named for the "Star Wars" characters, are 6-month-old bonded siblings. They're looking for a home not so far, far, away.

NORTHPORT, NY — Boba and Jango, a pair of 6-month-old felines, have one wish, according to Northport Cat Rescue Association volunteer Lora Wild: "To finally be in a home for the New Year."
Unlike the "Star Wars" characters they're named for, Jango and Boba do not share a father-and-son relationship; they are bonded brothers. And they just so happen to be two of the rescue's longest residents.
The duo came to the rescue as babies and are growing up in its habitats. They find themselves longing for volunteers to free them from their cages to stretch and play. The brothers recently had to be placed in separate cages so they have more room.

"They are confused as to why they are not together and clearly sad as well," Wild said. "The minute they are let out, they run to each other and start to play. That is, of course, after they snuggle their faces into the neck of the volunteers that take them out of their cages."
Wild said she's unsure why the boys have not been adopted yet.

"Aside from being adorable, they are two of the most loving and playful kittens I have ever seen. Recently, their foster mom and [her] daughter, Chloe, that fostered Jango and Boba as babies, visited with them. The minute Chloe unlocked Jango’s cage, he jumped into her arms closed his eyes, and laid his head on her shoulder. It melted my heart. They need a family of their own. They need a warm cozy bed to cuddle up in. They need a home."

The brothers love tummy rubs, as well as playing. They also love each other, adults, kids, and other cats.
"We know they will love you," Wild said. "Please consider adopting these two love bugs. You can meet these sweet boys at Petco in Commack; they love visitors but need a permanent family. All the volunteers at our organization are hoping for the happiest of New Years for these beautiful boys … we know they will bring you so much joy, they just need the chance."
Both are neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
