Northport HS Students Honored By Suffolk County Bar Association

Two students were recognized for their performances during the 2020–2021 Statewide Mock Trial Tournament.

NORTHPORT, NY — Two Northport High School students have been recognized by the Suffolk County Bar Association for their exemplary performances during the 2020–2021 Statewide Mock Trial Tournament, according to a news release from the Northport-East Northport School District.

Team Captain and senior Rudolph Mastrocinque was honored as the "Outstanding Student Attorney," and junior Stefany Jimenez was named "Star Witness."

Northport High School social studies teacher and Mock Trial advisor David Scott shared that both students are "exceptional leaders of our Suffolk County Champion Mock Trial team," according to the release.

Each student received a certificate of achievement from the SCBA and was awarded during a virtual award ceremony.

The Suffolk County Bar Association also honored David Lazer and Mark Goidell, the attorneys who volunteered to coach the Northport High School mock trial team.

"It was such a great ceremony to see David and Mark honored for their service and two of our students selected for such special recognition," Scott said.
