Northport Police Blotter: 2 Drivers Arrested
One man was driving while drunk, and the other was impaired by drugs, police say.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Nov. 30 through Dec. 6.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- Matthew Felicetti, 30, of Commack, was driving a Hyundai on Main Street at 4 a.m. Dec. 4 when he crossed into marked parking spaces while heading west, police said. The officer who stopped him observed Felicetti's eyes were glassy, dilated and bloodshot, he was unsteady on his feet with poor coordination, and when asked to perform field sobriety tests, he was uncooperative and incoherent, police said. Felicetti was arrested and charged with driving ability impaired by drugs, fail to obey traffic control device and unsafe lane change.
- Gardner Pinkham, 62, of Northport, was driving without headlights on while heading east on Main Street at 9:22 p.m. Dec. 4, police said. An officer followed Pinkham, who swerved in and out of his lane while heading north on Ocean Avenue, police said. Pinkham's breath smelled of alcohol, his eyes were glassy and bloodshot, his speech was slurred, he was very unsteady on his feet, and he performed poorly on several standardized field sobriety tests, police said. Pinkham was arrested and charged with DWI, DWI: BAC reading, unsafe lane change and equipment: headlights.
Incidents
- A resident on Dec. 1 reported suspicious activity regarding her credit card. She told police she was notified that Alaska USA Federal Credit Union received an application for an auto loan using her pedigree on Nov. 19. The credit union declined the application as it appeared fraudulent. The woman said she did not apply or authorize anyone for such a loan. She did not sustain any financial loss.
- Northport police responded to Ridings Gate to help Suffolk police with a man who fell unconscious due to a heroin overdose. The man was not breathing when police arrived. Officers administered two doses of Narcan, and the man eventually regained consciousness. The incident happened Dec. 2.
- A woman who is a real estate agent reported that a house she listed for sale was also listed for rent on Craigslist by someone. The incident was reported Dec. 3.
- A sick raccoon on Fort Salonga Road was euthanized by police and disposed of on Dec. 3.
- There was a report of someone banging on the door of a Fort Salonga home on Dec. 5. The homeowner told police it sounded like the person ran away after. Police suggested the homeowner contact his landlord to get hallway video footage.
