Obituary: Brian D. Banks, Northport Grad And Army Vet, Dies At 64

Brian D. Banks, a Northport High School graduate, passed away on Feb. 26, 2018 in Houston at the age of 64.

He is predeceased by his parents Dan and Joan Banks, of Huntington, and brother, Bradley Banks. He is a graduate of Northport High School, Class of 1971.

Mr. Banks joined the US Army in 1972 serving in Kaiserslautern Germany as an MP. A graduate of Texas A&M University in Galveston, TX receiving his bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology. A former member of the Jamaica Beach Volunteer Fire Department serving as a Lt.

A man of varied interests and an avid fisherman, Mr. Banks will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Survived by his brothers, Daniel (Bo) of Spring, TX and Barry (Renee) Banks of Winslow, AR. Nieces Allison & Julie and nephews Brandon & Johnathan.

Burial to be held at Houston Veteran's Memorial Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston on March 7th at 11:15 am.
