Officials Celebrate Renovation Of Island Christian Church

All the funds needed for the renovation were provided by the church's congregation.

Local officials were in attendance for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the renovation of Island Christian Church's sanctuary on Jan. 13.

Island Christian Church, located at 400 Elwood Road in East Northport, was under construction for more than four months. The project, called RENEW 2018, included adding new staging and lighting, wall covering, carpeting, and HVAC. New audio, visual and lighting equipment was also installed.

“Thank you to Pastor Joe, I wish you and your congregation the best in this new state-of-the-art sanctuary, which I understand was quite the achievement, constructed debt-free from donations from your faithful congregation!” Town Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci said in a press release.
