Parents: Don't Cut The Arts in Northport-East Northport Schools
Community members want to ensure that the district's highly regarded arts program perseveres.

Parents are calling on Northport-East Northport Schools to maintain the district’s highly regarded arts program.
A new petition is gaining momentum on change.org to postpone cuts to the department “until the soon-to-be active Superintendent of Schools, Robert Banzer can study and evaluate this motion for one year.”
Community members are asking the district to delay a previous decision to remove “the separate Art and Music administrative district positions in order to create a new Director of Music and Art position,” according to the online petition.
