At 6:33 p.m., Anita O’Daly, 75, of Northport, was arrested on charges of DWI and leaving the scene of an incident. Authorities say she was exiting a parking lot in a white Subaru when she struck a 2005 Chrysler traveling southbound on Bluff Point Road at 5:53 p.m. The driver of the Chrysler told police the Subaru driver, later identified as O’Daly, initially stopped but then left the scene without exchanging any information. A passing motorist then notified police he was following a white Subaru that was driving “all over the road,” police say. Authorities initiated a traffic stop on Mariners Lane. O’Daly was placed under arrest after police say she performed poorly on several field sobriety tests. She was arraigned in Northport Village Justice Court.
