Police Log: Intoxicated Man Hurt After Falling At Library

At noon, police responded to a Laurel Avenue location for the report of an erratic driver. Officers located the vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied.

Saturday, Dec .29

At 3:45 p.m., officers responded to a Main Street location for the report of a driver who left the scene after striking a parked and unoccupied vehicle. Police say the vehicle suffered a minor scratch.

At 6:36 p.m., police received a report of a domestic incident on Fifth Avenue in which a woman believes her family member stole her prescription medication.

At 7:11 p.m., police responded to a Laurel Avenue location for the report of a man who overdosed on alcohol. The man was taken to Huntington Hospital by Northport Rescue.

Sunday, Dec. 30

At 4:47 p.m., police responded to the report of an intoxicated man with injuries from a fall at the Northport Public Library on Laurel Avenue. Centerport Rescue responded and transported the man to Huntington Hospital.
