Police Warn of Holiday Tip Theft
Police are looking for the driver of a white Volvo sedan said to be stealing workers' gifts.
A Christmas grinch is stealing holiday tips left out for sanitation workers, Northport Police said Tuesday.
Local authorities are warning residents about an alleged holiday tip thief, said to be taking gifts meant for the garbage collectors.
Police said that a white male, with a large build, in a newer model white Volvo sedan has been seen driving around Northport Village, taking holiday tips left out with the garbage for the trash pick-up crews.
Residents are asked to call police at 631-261-7500 if they see a vehicle with the matching description during garbage pick up times.
