Officially Haunted House In Nyack Back On The Market
This Hudson riverfront Queen Anne Victorian was once the subject of a lawsuit over poltergeists.
NYACK, NY — Rapper Matisyahu has put one of Nyack's most famous houses on the market. And it's not just because of its famous occupants, which include film director Adam Brooks.
It's because it has been legally declared haunted.
As the New York Post explained, previous owner Helen Ackley had insisted that the house was inhabited by poltergeists, most from the Revolutionary War era (the house was built in 1890). But when she put it on the market in 1989 she failed to officially "disclose" that to the buyer, a Wall Street trader named Jeffrey Stambovsky. When he decided to back out of the deal, he sued her to get his deposit back and cited her omission. The New York Supreme Court ruled in his favor and said she had to disclose it to future buyers.

In the event, Brooks bought it, and lived in it for 20 years. Singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson lived there for three years, and Matisyahu bought it in 2015. None of them reported anything haunted, according to the Post.
What you can see on realtor.com is how beautiful the house is, and what stunning views it has of the Hudson River.
