Best Places To Live in the Hudson Valley In 2017

20 Hudson Valley communities made it into New York's 100 Best Places to Live rankings by Niche.com.

Twenty Hudson Valley communities made Niche.com’s list of the 2017 Best Places to Live in New York.

No New York community made it into the national Top 100. Carmel in Indiana was determined to be the best place to live in the United States, according to the rankings.

In the state list, Kensington, on Long Island, once again took the top spot in the state rankings.

Just one Orange County County community made the list; and three Rockland communities. The 16 other communities all hail from Westchester County.

Niche.com took into account local statistics on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities to determine these rankings. Read more about the methodology here.
