OYSTER BAY, NY – This year's Oyster Festival will look a little different, and will be a bit quieter, and the festival has been turned into Oyster Week.

Usually at this time of year, Theodor Roosevelt Park is bustling with activity, as the famous food court is built, the stage is put in place and massive tents go up in preparation for Long Island's annual Oyster Festival. In light of the coronavirus pandemic, this year's activities will shift online.

Oyster Week will take place Oct. 16-25 as a virtual festival featuring an online auction, restaurant week, GoFundMe campaign, Halloween drive-in movie night and the annual shucking and eating contests.
