
An Oyster Bay football season that kicked off with in thrilling fashion is now a little dimmer after the latest setback, a 27-0 loss at East Rockaway Saturday.Â
The Baymen are now 1-3 in Nassau Conference IV and have been outscored 106-0 over the last three weeks. Oyster Bay beat rival Cold Spring Harbor, 17-7, on opening day.
East Rockaway (1-3), the smallest school in Nassau, ran for nearly 400 yards on the day and built a 13-0 edge by halftime. But the opening score came via special teams, a blocked punt returned 39 yards for a touchdown.

But fear not: The next two opponents sit near the bottom of the conference standings. The Baymen host Clarke (2-2) Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and face Carle Place (1-3) in Week 6.
