Firefighter's Lifesaving Efforts Recognized By Town Of Oyster Bay

The Town of Oyster Bay has recognized an assistant fire chief for rescuing a fellow firefighter from a blaze last summer.

OYSTER BAY, NY — A member of the South Farmingdale Fire Department was recognized for rescuing a fellow firefighter from a blaze on Aug. 8, 2020.

Second Assistant Chief George McFarlane received the Town of Oyster Bay First Responder Award at Jericho Terrace on June 12. It was presented by Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino, Councilman Lou Imbroto, and Councilman Thomas Hand.
