Flash Flood Watch Issued For Long Island
See when the worst of the weather is expected this weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued flash flood watches for Long Island. They will be in effect in Nassau County from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in Suffolk County.
A slow moving frontal system will bring heavy rain to the island early Saturday and it's likely to continue through the afternoon. There's also a chance of thunderstorms, mainly during the morning hours Saturday.
Total rainfall amounts will be in the 1.5 to 2-inch range with locally higher amounts possible, the NWS says. Excessive runoff will be possible, which would lead to flooding of urban and poor drainage areas.
