Historical Society Talks Scrapbooking
Oyster Bay Historical Society Archivist Nicole Menchise will discuss preserving historical family photos, documents are more.

Scrapbooking is more than a hobby – it’s history. And the folks at the Oyster Bay Historical Society want to keep the fine art of preservation alive for future generations.
Society Archivist Nicole Menchise will hold an informal seminar to discuss common materials and their aging processes and options for long-term preservation. The event is Oct. 15 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Koenig Research Center at 20 Summit St.
Scrapbooking is the art of decorating pages with mementos and written materials from the events that have touched our lives. Attendees are encouraged to bring a scrapbook with them to discuss individual challenges. Â
