LIRR: Service Suspended On Oyster Bay Line, Buses Replace Trains

Downed trees caused the Long Island Rail Road to temporarily suspend service on the Oyster Bay line Friday morning.

OYSTER BAY, NY — Buses will replace trains between Mineola and Oyster Bay as crews work to remove fallen trees east of Roslyn, the Long Island Rail Road said Friday. Buses are expected to arrive at the Mineola and Oyster Bay stations around 11 a.m.

OYSTER BAY, NY — The Long Island Rail Road says service is suspended on the Oyster Bay line as crews work to remove fallen trees east of Roslyn.

In an announcement posted on its website Friday morning, the commuter rail system said it was in the process of securing buses.
