Most Affordable Places To Buy A Car On Long Island

Five Long Island towns were ranked within the top 10 most affordable places to buy a car in New York, according to new rankings.
Autolist.com, an automotive buyer intelligence firm, recently released its New York Affordability Rankings study, analyzing more than 320,000 active vehicle listings in 62 New York counties.
The study revealed that Hicksville is the No. 2 most affordable place to buy a car in New York. It is about $1,033 cheaper to buy a car in Hicksville than the New York average, which is $1,033, the study says. The national average is $1,034.

“Given these findings, there appears to be an opportunity for people to save hundreds on their next vehicle by purchasing in Hicksville,” Autolist.com said in a press release.

- New Rochelle— $1,033 cheaper than the New York average
- Hicksville— $865 cheaper than the New York average
- Freeport— $852 cheaper than the New York average
- Hempstead— $842 cheaper than the New York average
- Mount Vernon— $822 cheaper than the New York average
- Yonkers— $784 cheaper than the New York average
- New York City— $765 cheaper than the New York average
- White Plains— $692 cheaper than the New York average
- Levittown— $650 cheaper than the New York average
- West Babylon— $547 cheaper than the New York average
The study also lists which car deals offer the biggest savings in Hicksville.
Autolist claims it’s the Audi A6, with prices $,1887 below New York's average. The top five most affordable cars to purchase in Hicksville are:
- Audi A6
- Volvo XC90
- Chrysler 200
- Acura TLX
- Chrysler Town and Country
These vehicles reportedly offer $,1518 and $1,250 off average prices in New York.
