Nassau County Police: Vehicular Accident / North Hills

April 5, 2021

The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 5:05 a.m. in North Hills.

According to Detectives, a box truck was travelling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway near exit 36 when it left the roadway and struck the overpass for Shelter Rock Road. The driver and sole passenger of the box truck, both male,  were pronounced deceased at the scene by a Nassau County Police Medic. The investigation is ongoing.

Detectives request anyone that may have witnessed the accident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call the Homicide Squad at 516-573-7788. All callers will remain anonymous.
