New Dog Park Opens In Town Of Oyster Bay's North Shore
The Town of Oyster Bay's north shore finally has its own dog park.

BAYVILLE, NY — Tails are wagging harder than ever in the Town of Oyster Bay's north shore, which finally got its first dog park. Joseph Saladino, the town supervisor, on Wednesday unveiled the new digs at Centre Island Beach in Bayville.
"This beautiful new dog park shows that we can achieve great things when working together with our local community," Saladino said, adding that pets are like family, and dog parks offer a place where neighbors and their pets can gather and socialize.
The park, built using state grant money, comes amid the town's recent efforts to make parks more dog-friendly. Last week, the town designated a dozen neighborhood parks as dog-friendly, allowing residents to bring in their leashed pooches.

"It is so enjoyable to get out and enjoy the nice weather with our pets," Councilman Steve Labriola said in a release. "I'm so pleased we were able to bring this facility to our town’s north shore, in addition to allowing for leashed pets to visit several local parks in the Town of Oyster Bay."
