Obituary: WWII Navy Vet Paul W. ​Wiedenhafer, 91, of Oyster Bay

Paul was a private pilot, avid skier, golfer, animal lover, outdoorsman, grandfather to 14 and a great-grandfather to one.

Paul W. Wiedenhafer, of Oyster Bay, passed away on Monday at age 91.

Beloved husband of Vera. Loving father of Richard, Robert, Patricia, Paul, Maryellen and Christina. Cherished grandfather of 14, and great-grandfather of 1.

Paul was a private pilot, avid skier, golfer, animal lover and outdoorsman. He was a proud WWII Navy Veteran. He was an engineer at Grumman for 43 years, where he worked on fighter planes and the space program.

Family will receive friends at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home Inc., 293 South Street, Oyster Bay Monday 12/4/17 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass Tuesday 12/5/17 9:30 a.m. Chapel of St. Dominic’s R.C.C. Interment to follow Long Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boys Town www.boystown.org. www.fpdevinefh.com
