East Woods School Celebrates the Class of 2019

Oyster Bay, NY (June 20, 2019) – The East Woods School (EWS) in Oyster Bay is proud to announce it recently held a graduation ceremony for the class of 2019 eighth grade class. The upper school students will advance to some of the top private high schools throughout the tristate area next fall. The balance between exceptional academic programs and character education, coupled with individual attention for each child, has successfully prepared EWS middle school students for success in high school and beyond.

“Our students are advancing to the top high schools in the tristate area, which speaks to our dedication to ensure each child achieves excellence in both their academic studies and in their personal development as contributing members of their communities,” said Laura Kang, Head of School at East Woods. “We focus on creating a nurturing environment within East Woods while instilling responsibility and curiosity within our students. Our students leave EWS prepared to be contributing citizens and compassionate leaders in a complex and changing world.”

Students who have graduated from East Woods have always attended the most prestigious boarding schools, local independent day schools, parochial schools and the top academic tracks at the public high schools in their home districts. To date, East Woods students are eagerly sought after by outstanding secondary schools such as Choate Rosemary Hall, Deerfield Academy, Portledge School, Friends Academy, Hotchkiss, Taft, Millbrook, Groton and Chaminade.
