Oyster Bay School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School And More

OYSTER BAY, NY — The first day of school in Oyster Bay is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Oyster Bay District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day Observed)
• 11/5 - 11/6: Professional Days for Teachers and Paraprofessionals
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Holiday)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break, New Year's Day)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Presidents' Day Break)
