Oyster Bay Town Garbage, Recycling Pickup Scrapped Until Thursday
The Town of Oyster Bay has postponed garbage pickup and recycling due to the nor'easter.
OYSTER BAY, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay’s sanitation and recycling collection has been cancelled until Thursday, town officials said Monday.
The modification will allow the town to maximize its snow removal operations, according to Supervisor Joseph Saladino. “We appreciate our residents’ patience and cooperation as this storm has already left significant snowfall in our area,” he stated in a news release.
Saladino also asked that residents remove their cars off of the street so that plows can “efficiently navigate roadways,” adding, “With a recently-declared State of Emergency declared for our area, residents are urged to not travel unless absolutely necessary.”
