Advanced Wagering Begins at 10:00 a.m. at All 20 Locations

Mineola, NY (May 3, 2019)—Nassau Regional Off Track Betting announced today that all 22 of its locations throughout Nassau County will be simulcasting the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby in its entirety on Saturday, May 4, 2019 so thoroughbred enthusiasts can enjoy the weekend’s festivities from the comfort of their local OTB branches. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3 through the much-anticipated Derby at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, Nassau OTB locations will be the place to catch all the action leading up to the Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports!

Current contenders at the top of the leaderboards are Tacitus, Omaha Beach, Vekoma Plus Que Parfait and Roadster.

In addition, Nassau OTB will be offering a free Kentucky Derby Seminar on Thursday, May 2 at the Carle Place Branch—180 Glen Cove Road. The seminar will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will include a panel discussion featuring guest handicappers John Conte, Steve Matthews and Steve Phillips and moderated by local sports broadcaster Carl Reuter. The expert panel will explain the pros and cons of each Derby horse and give attendees a better understanding of the wagering process. The first 100 patrons will receive a commemorative Kentucky Derby glass. Locations will be opening early on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4.

Derby wagering will kick off at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 with advance wagering on the Kentucky Derby available all day at the following Nassau OTB locations:

  • Franklin Square (1063 Hempstead Turnpike)
