SCO Family of Services Welcomes Motorcyclists on Holiday Toy Run

The event took place in Sea Cliff.

Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts – including Santa Claus – roared into Sea Cliff, Long Island on Sunday bearing gifts for the kids at SCO Family of Services’ Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center during the 29th annual Toy Run.

Seventy-three children and adolescents with developmental disabilities live at the RJMCC and go to school at the Tyree Learning Center, also located on campus.

Santa handed out gifts with the help of his elves. “Just look at their faces,” said Bill Mato, president of the cyclists’ “Who Cares” Committee. “You can’t beat that.”

“I like all the bikes,” said RJMCC resident Ekuan. “I like the scooter Santa gave me. When is the Grinch coming?”

The cyclists, sanctioned by the American Motorcycle Association, are dedicated to helping children with disabilities on Long Island.

SCO Family of Services helps vulnerable New Yorkers build a strong foundation for the future.
