St. Patrick’s Day Haunted Houses Planned At Bayville Scream Park

The event will have axe throwing, monster repellent, lighted shamrock necklaces and glow-in-the-dark crosses. Leprechaun Fun House anyone?

BAYVILLE, NY — Bayville Scream Park will highlight three holiday-themed haunted houses and Irish-style pub food this weekend as part of its Haunted St. Patrick’s weekend, according to event organizers.

The line-up will feature three haunted houses, including a St. Patrick’s Haunted House, a Haunted St. Patrick’s at the Asylum, and the Leprechaun’s Fun House, according to bayvillehauntedstpatricks.com. There will be an axe-throwing game, as well as monster repellent and glow sticks, lighted shamrock necklaces, and glow-in-the-dark rosary beads and crosses “to ward off monsters,” its webpage states.

It runs on Friday and Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m., and from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets for the haunted houses can be purchased in packages with a three-course St. Patrick’s Day feast at the Shipwreck Tavern for an additional $31.75

Appetizers include Guinness onion soup, Dublin onion rings, Corned Beef and Cabbage sliders, as well as Irish nachos — potato chips slathered with Irish cheddar cheese, bacon and chives, and served with sour cream and guacamole. Dinners include Irish-style pub food like beer-battered fish and chips, Corned Beef and Cabbage, and Guinness beef stew.

For dessert, there will be chocolate cake or a mint chocolate chip hot fudge sundae.

Packages run from $44.75 to $70.75. Visitors can also purchase add-ons like injector Jell-O shots, S’mores kits for the fire pit, Irish cocktails and pints of beer, as well as one hour open bar option.

Patrons will be asked to wear facial coverings at all times and social distancing will be enforced, with groups going into the haunt separately, according to event organizer, D.R. Finley.
