Supervisor Joseph Saladino Named Oyster Eating Contest Winnerr

OYSTER BAY, NY – Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino has been named this year's 2020 Oyster Eating Contest Winner.

The 2020 Oyster Eating and Shucking Contests were held on Tuesday, where the 2020 winners were crowned.

Four shucking contestants and four eating contestants were invited to Copper’s Bluff Tuesday evening to take part in ceremonial contests commemorating the 37th annual Oyster Festival.

Brad Launer has been named the 2020 Oyster Shucking Champion. He faced off against Michael O'Neil from Cooper's Bluff, Milton Sierra from Coach Meeting House and Dave Mahnken, a former Oyster Festival attendee and shucking contestant.

Saladino competed against other Oyster Bay celebrity contestants included Festival Chairman Jim Fuccio; Owner of Newton Shows Mike Newton; and star and producer of the Donna Drake Show, Donna Drake.
