'Taste on the Beach' Friday for Long Beach International Film Festival

After feasting on the finest Long Island fare, watch some "Shorts on the Beach" Friday.

Long Island’s favorite restaurants, wineries, craft breweries, and more are heading to Long Beach Friday night for Taste on the Beach.

Part of the popular Long Beach International Film Festival, Taste on the Beach will offer famed Long Island fare, live music, and screenings of short films for “Shorts on the Beach.” The event will take place at National Beach near the Allegria Hotel.

The night begins at 5 p.m. with live musical performances from Benoir, Michelle Medoff, Mark Newman and Oogee Wawa.

Taste on the Beach restaurants, breweries, and wineries will begin serving the best dishes their businesses have to offer at 6 p.m.

Shorts on the Beach will begin at 9 p.m. as Taste on the Beach ends. Short films are set to wow the crowds in the custom made, beachside theater and will feature flicks from the independent to studio level. A Disney short is even in store.

Tickets for Taste on the Beach are $100. Ticket holders must be 21 or older. Get them here.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit The Long Beach Food & Friendship INN.
