LIU Post said they have implemented several safety measures to ensure the safety of those attending graduation.

“Commencement is our biggest event of the year and brings the most traffic to our campus of any event of the year,” a spokesperson said. “As such, we have robust security measures, including full activation of our Public Safety Department, supplemental outside security, and coordination with Old Brookville PD.”

Patch has contacted Old Brookville Police for comment regarding the threat.

Patch also contacted Nassau Police, who said they were not aware of the incident despite conflicting reports.
