"The Boxer Matchup is the last in a series of events for our charity boxers before entering the final stretch of their training and preparations for the 2018 Main Event boxing ring. It is time for them to focus on their mission to become a boxer and raise money to help those in the Long Island community who are struggling. This is when boxers dig deep remembering those they met in need earlier in the year and reflect upon the positive impact their efforts will have on the lives of these adults and children who benefit from programs and services provided by the nonprofit organizations supported by LIFFC," said Jeff Cohen, co-founder LIFFC.

The 15th Long Island Fight for Charity is attracting the attention of the media and the Long Island's business community. Local businesses and professional firms sponsoring this year's Main Event include: Empower Solar, Barnes, Iaccarino & Shepherd, LLP, Alure Home Improvements, Forchelli Deegan Terrana, Lessings's, CORE BTS, Merritt Environmental Consulting Corp., Grassi & Co.
