Voters Approve OBEN Budget, Elect Trustees

Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.

Oyster Bay-East Norwich residents approved a 2018-19 school budget on Tuesday.

The $57,607,530 budget passed with 754 yes votes and 275 no votes, according to the school district. The budget is a 2.32 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 1.72 percent tax levy increase.

Residents also elected Nancy Castrogiovanni and Maryann Santos to the OBEN Board of Education.
