Snow may begin to fall during the Friday morning commute, but the bulk of the snow will come in the afternoon and through the evening, the NWS says.

Hazardous travel conditions are expected due to reduced visibilities and snow covered roads.

Temperatures in the mid-20s Friday morning will climb to the mid-30s by the evening, which could lead to a snow and rain mix for a few hours on Long Island, the NWS says.

Any lingering precipitation will end by Saturday morning. A cold front moving across the area Saturday night will bring a slight chance of rain or snow showers, but no accumulation is expected.
