Orangetown Among Best Places To Raise A Family: Niche

ORANGETOWN, NY — Several Orangetown communities are among the best places in New York to raise a family, according to Niche.com's 2021 survey.

The rankings were based on public schools, crime rates, cost of living and family-friendly amenities. Data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were also factored in.

In this year's rankings, one community, Chappaqua, was among the top 100 places in the United States, clocking in at No. 87.

In New York, 24 Hudson Valley communities were listed among the top 100 places for families.

Highest on the list, four Westchester communities are in the top 20. Here are their rankings.

In the statewide rankings, many Hudson Valley communities ranked between 100-300. That includes Orangeburg, ranked No. 157, and Pearl River, No. 244.
