11,200 Jobs Available As Hudson Valley Reopens: Labor Department
Three health-care companies are among the businesses with the most openings in the region.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — As the Hudson Valley region continues to reopen, there are a growing number of jobs available, state officials say.
New York's Jobs Express website currently lists over 11,200 jobs from businesses looking to hire immediately in the region.
The companies listing the most jobs on the Jobs Express website in the Hudson Valley Region are in the health-care business, according to the state:

- Health Quest Systems, Inc. - 356
- Regeneron Pharmaceuticals - 294
- Westchester Medical Center – 193
It's been a year since Health Quest and Western Connecticut Health Network combined to offer services 1.5 million residents with 2,600 doctors and seven hospitals.

The state's search engine narrows employment fields into more than 20 categories, allowing job seekers to easily view potential openings in the region. Categories include health care, production, sales, architecture and engineering, construction and transportation.
The database also allows users to search jobs based on zip code and travel distance.
"I encourage both businesses in need of workers and New Yorkers in need of a job to take advantage of our Jobs Express website," said Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon.
The Department of Labor is also currently, at no cost, helping businesses in the Hudson Valley Region and across the state recruit the skilled workers they need to compete as the region’s economy reopens. Any business looking to register and list jobs at no charge with the Department is encouraged to visit this website. Department staff are also available to help businesses develop employee handbooks and on-the-job training programs, take advantage of tax credits for hiring specific populations, as well as apprenticeship programs.
