Coronavirus Restrictions Lifted For Cortlandt Community Pool

Among other changes, residents will no longer be required to make reservations for weekend swimming.

CORTLANDT, NY — Town of Cortlandt officials said coronavirus restrictions have been lifted for the Charles J. Cook Pool.

According to a Facebook post, on weekends, residents will no longer be required to make reservations for pool time. The capacity will be increased to its original limits and the two-session setup has been removed.

The daily fees currently in place — $5 per adult, $4 per child and $2.50 per senior — will remain for those who do not have a pool season pass.

On weekdays, the limited coronavirus capacities and reservation system will still be in place during the morning session, from 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., when camp and swim instruction are in session. The Westchester County Department of Health requires that camp and public sessions must be separated at the pool facility. Camp and swim instruction end Aug. 6 at which time the morning session restrictions will be lifted as well.

Reservations for weekday morning sessions can be made eight days in advance, meaning all dates will not be immediately available for reservations.
