Patch: How long have you been doing business in town, or how long has your organization been around in the community?

Meghan Ward: Ergo Hemp Co. was founded in November 2018 and launched to the public in June 2019, so we have been in business for just over a year now.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Meghan Ward: I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit; and after experiencing relief from my Lyme symptoms from taking CBD, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I also had a strong dislike of the current pharmaceutical industry and noticed the holistic/plant movement and wanted to be part of something so special. So I started Ergo with the hopes to help others achieve better health and wellness. I started the company right out of my own home after a ton of research and loved every minute of it!

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words or less, what would those words be?

Meghan Ward: Better wellness for all.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?

Meghan Ward: Since hemp is still considered to be the cannabis industry, a legal banking and payment processing partner was difficult to secure, but luckily I was dedicated to getting these amazing products out and never gave up! Advertising on traditional social platforms is restricted for CBD companies as well, so increasing our brand awareness hasn’t been easy.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Meghan Ward: I absolutely love when a customer shares how Ergo Hemp Co.’s CBD has helped them. I have heard many success stories from Lyme disease to psoriasis to migraines to better sleep. Hearing our customer’s testimonials makes it all worth it!

Patch: How would you say your business distinguishes itself from the others?

Meghan Ward: What makes Ergo Hemp Co. different from all the other CBD companies out there is that our products are the most bioavailable products on the market, meaning more CBD is effectively absorbed and used by the body. Every step from growing to printing to packaging to labeling is done right here in the U.S.! Not only do we believe in better health and wellness for all, we believe in creating a better planet! Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?

Meghan Ward: One of my favorite quotes that has always inspired me is “act as if it were impossible to fail.” That’s the first thing I think of when obstacles present themselves.
