Frost And Haze: Hudson Valley Forecast
You may want to protect tender plants from the cold. Here are the details.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — As the smoke from the wildfires in the West continue to obscure the sun from the Plains eastward to the mid-Atlantic, temperatures of more than 10 degrees below normal will make it feel downright autumnal by the weekend in the region.
There are even frost warnings in effect for much of upstate New York including the upper Hudson Valley. An overnight frost advisory for Ulster County goes into effect at midnight Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday.

Forecast highs this weekend are only in the low to mid 60s, which is 10 degrees below normal.

It will be sunny all weekend. However, while a cold front could push the smoke from the wildfires out of the region temporarily, the haze will return and persist until the West Coast gets rain, the National Weather Service said.

Fall officially begins Tuesday.
