At an event remembering the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., New York State Senator Pete Harckham called on residents to address the systemic racism in our society and engage in “hard conversations” to make the United States a “more perfect union” for everybody.

Harckham spoke to about three dozen people gathered outside of Drew United Methodist Church; click here to see a video of him delivering his remarks.
