Hour-by-Hour Snow, Rain Details For Hudson Valley

A weak storm could dump a little wet snow and make roads slippery Sunday afternoon and night.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Sunday's rain, snow and ice event doesn't look like a big deal as this weak storm system moves through the region.

However, there is enough wet snow in the forecast to make roads slippery tonight and Monday morning, specially in higher terrain.

Snow is starting in the morning, but the steadiest snow is expected between 3-8 p.m., said the folks at Hudson Valley Weather.

Snow could continue through the first half of Sunday night across interior portions of northwestern New Jersey, the lower Hudson Valley and southern Connecticut, the National Weather Service said.

Away from the Sound Shore, the lower Hudson Valley may see 2-3 inches of snow and ice accumulation Sunday afternoon and evening, and possibly more in the Catskills and Taconics, but along the coast nothing may accumulate before it changes to rain, the NWS predicted.
