HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The region's first winter storm, which tracked even farther north than expected, is expected to taper off through Thursday morning.

"Be safe out there as blowing snow will continue to prolong treacherous roadways through the morning," Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather said on Facebook.

Thursday morning, the National Weather Service offered snowfall reports for the Hudson Valley, which came out at the low end of their Wednesday predictions. (Note that report times vary greatly.)
