Metro-North Limits Harlem, New Haven Lines In Storm Aftermath
There's no service at the New Rochelle, Pelham, and Mount Vernon East stations and no service north of North White Plains on the Harlem Line

Although Metro-North Railroad resumed some service Wednesday, there's no service on the Harlem Line north of North White Plains, and trains will not stop at New Rochelle, Pelham or Mount Vernon East on the New Haven Line.
Tropical Storm Isaias brought sustained winds of up to 60 miles per hour and gusts of up to 75 miles per hour across the Metropolitan Transit Authority service region. "This storm caused severe damage. Not since Superstorm Sandy has our system experienced this type of wind," said MTA Chairman and CEO Patrick Foye.
More than 2,000 trees fell across the MTA’s transportation network. More than 11,000 personnel worked around-the-clock to respond to the storm and clear debris to restore service for the morning rush.

Harlem Line service has been restored between Grand Central Terminal to North White Plains and will operate on a weekend schedule. Customers can expect delays due to single-tracking while crews clear fallen trees and repair infrastructure.
There will be no service between North White Plains and Wassaic stations due to downed trees and infrastructure damage.

There will be no service from Southeast to Wassaic.
The New Haven Line resumed service between Stamford and Grand Central Terminal at 8 a.m. Northbound service from Grand Central commenced with the 8:36 a.m. train to Stamford. However, there will be no service in either direction at New Rochelle, Pelham, and Mount Vernon East stations.
The Hudson Line is running on a weekend schedule.
For commuters: the subways, where most outdoor lines were temporarily suspended yesterday, full service has been restored and subways are running a normal weekday schedule. Buses are operating a full weekday schedule at this time with some delays and detours.
Fun fact: As a result of Isaias, Long Island Rail Road experienced more downed trees, utility poles and wind damage than Superstorm Sandy.
