Metro-North Urges Riders To Leave Grand Central Early
Demonstrations throughout the region could result in changes, MTA officials said.

Metro-North Railroad sent out a message to riders Tuesday afternoon warning of planned demonstrations throughout the service territory that could result in changes. Increased crowding could also be an issue.
"Allow for additional travel time and if possible plan to leave Grand Central Terminal early," the commuter line wrote.
A citywide curfew enacted Monday will stay in place for the rest of the week as authorities try to quell the looting and vandalism seen across New York City for several nights in a row, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced.

The curfew will run from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and will be in effect through Sunday, de Blasio said during a news briefing Tuesday.
Those exempted from the curfew include police officers, firefighters, first responders and emergency medical technicians, essential workers, the homeless and individuals seeking medical treatment or medical supplies.

"We will continue to run service for essential workers following the 8 p.m. curfew," Metro-North officials said.
Riders should listen for announcements at stations.
