Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Bear Mountain Parkway

CORTLANDT, NY — A Dutchess County man was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday on the Bear Mountain Parkway in the town of Cortlandt.

The New York State Police said Gary Malstrom Sr., 67, of East Fishkill, was operating a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle around 6:40 p.m. and was traveling east on the Bear Mountain Parkway.

Police said he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a guiderail.

Malstrom was taken to the Westchester Medical Center by Mohegan Emergency Medical Services where he was pronounced dead by the attending physician.

Mohegan Fire Department was also at the scene rendering aid.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
