Obituary: Leona Carlotta DiRoma of Cortlandt Manor

Leona Carlotta DiRoma a resident of Cortlandt Manor and formerly of Yorktown Heights passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019.

Leona was born in The Bronx on January 14, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa (Gazzola) Coletti. She was 94.

Leona was a retired Medical Terminologist at the former Misericordia Hospital in The Bronx.

She was married June 5, 1948 at St. Frances of Rome RC Church in The Bronx to Dante DiRoma. He predeceased her on October 20, 2016.

Leona enjoyed knitting, ceramics and jewelry making in her retirement.

Mrs. DiRoma is survived by her sons Paul (Patrice), Peter; her two grandchildren Gregory and Christina.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St Augustine Church. The interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
