Ossining Woman Accused In Cortlandt Shooting
State police said she resisted arrest when they found her.
CORTLANDT, NY — Reports of a domestic dispute sent New York State police to a home on Lexington Avenue in Cortlandt Nov. 27.
They said they learned that an Ossining woman obtained a pistol there while visiting, and shot someone. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries and did not seek medical treatment, police said.
Police said they found Jamie L. Diasparra in Ossining. She resisted arrest but was taken into custody with the help of the Ossining Police Department.

Diasparra, 33, faces charges of Assault in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, and Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree, all class D felonies; plus Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and Resisting Arrest, both class A misdemeanor.
Diasparra was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and released on her own recognizance.
