PEEKSKILL, NY — Voters in the Peekskill school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to approve the school district's 2012-22 budget.

The $101.4 million budget was approved. The unofficial vote tally was 275 for and 77 against.

The budget increase was 2.85 percent. The property tax levy was 0.97 percent.

Two trustee seats were up for election. The race was not contested. The winning candidates were incumbents Pamela Hallman-Johnson and Allen Jenkins Jr.
