Peekskill City Hall To Reopen Wednesday

Masks will still be required for visitors and staff who cannot show proof of vaccination.

PEEKSKILL, NY — Effective Wednesday, Peekskill City Hall will be reopening.

According to information on the city's website, on Wednesday, access to the City Hall lobby will no longer require the use of the doorway intercom.

Temperature checks and social distancing rules will continue, and masks will still be required for visitors and staff who cannot show proof of vaccination.

Not all services are available on a walk-in basis, such as meeting with building inspectors or section 8 case managers. That is why city officials said it is always best to make an appointment by calling ahead.

Wednesday's hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beginning Thursday, summer hours will go into effect: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

City officials said the City Council and land-use boards are returning to in-person meetings. Due to social distancing, room capacity for the Council Chambers is about 20 guests. Overflow seating is available in the conference room on the first floor with TV access to the meeting. There will be opportunities for making in-person public comments.
