Peekskill Man Sentenced In 2018 Park Street Slaying
The daytime shooting happened after an argument between the two men.

PEEKSKILL, NY — Demetrius Bogan, 21, was sentenced Tuesday to 18 years in state prison for killing a Bronx man on Park Street in 2018, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced.
The Peekskill resident pleaded guilty Sept. 27, 2019, to Manslaughter in the First Degree, a class B felony, for killing 22-year-old Khalil Lyons. SEE: Plea Deal For Peekskill Shooter In Daylight Street Slaying
Bogan’s co-defendant, Sean Deleon, pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. Also a Peekskill resident, Deleon was sentenced last November to five years in state prison.

The fatal shooting took place near 1245 Park St. in the afternoon of July 13, 2018. The men had argued earlier. Peekskill police arrested Bogan later that month.
Assistant District Attorneys Nadine Nagler, Chief of the Narcotics and Firearms Bureau, Jonathan Strongin, Deputy Chief of the Career Criminal Bureau, and Joseph Servino prosecuted the case.
