Peekskill School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Peekskill is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Peekskill City School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)

• 11/7: No School for Students (Superintendent's Conference Day)
• 11/10: No School (Veteran's Day)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/15: Early Release for Students (Professional Learning Academy), No AM Pre-K
• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)

February

• 2/2: Early Release for Students (Professional Learning Academy), No PM Pre-K
• 2/19 - 2/23: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/9: No School for Students (Superintendent's Conference Day)
• 3/26 - 4/2: No School (Spring Recess)
